2019 Heart Transplant Run

Ted Frank's Team

Join me in raising funds to benefit heart transplant patients served by Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute. One hundred percent of all donations made on this page will be used to assist patients with healthcare related expenses at Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute.

Ted Frank, heart failure/transplant cardiologist, long time distance runner, veteran of over 30 marathons and ultramarathons, philanthropist, and media darling, is running for his patients whose endurance inspires him every day. Ted has been at the Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute (SHVI) since 1998 and serves as the Medical Director of SHVI's Heart Transplant and Pulmonary Hypertension programs.

Ted is always in search of a challenge. He helped raise over $600,000 for Atrium Health cardiac rehabilitation patients by launching their annual Cupid's Cup 5K race in 2005. For this newest challenge, The Heart Transplant Run, Ted combines his passion for distance running and fundraising. He will enlist the help of family, running friends, and his patients -- and donors, like you -- to raise awareness and money to be used directly for heart transplant patients in need.
