Muscular Dystrophy Garden

Welcome to the Muscular Dystrophy Garden. The Bells of Ireland flower signifies a “wish of good luck” with its distinctive blooms of life-affirming “Irish green.” Green is the official awareness color for Muscular Dystrophy. This beautiful flower represents hope for the brave patients and families who fight Muscular Dystrophy.

In addition to providing excellent care for patients suffering with Muscular Dystrophy, Carolinas HealthCare System operates the McColl-Lockwood Laboratory for Muscular Dystrophy Research. This Laboratory is one of the leading facilities in the world dedicated to finding a cure for Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. Its distinguished team of scientists hosts bi-annual international conferences that bring together the best and the brightest from around the world in a collaborative effort to define treatment plans and find a cure.  Learn more at www.carolinashealthcare.org/neuroscience.
