The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 74,000 people in the United States will be diagnosed with bladder cancer this year. Levine Cancer Institute’s Bladder Cancer Program offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary care to patients. The program’s approach to cancer care offers patients access to various specialties – including surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, and genetic counseling. Working as a team, specialists from these areas discuss treatment options and devise the best plan of care for each patient, including access to the latest clinical trials as appropriate.
Through innovative surgical techniques, prevention programs, and access to clinical trials, Levine Cancer Institute’s physicians offer bladder cancer patients the greatest chance of success in their treatment. Physicians meet regularly to discuss every patient’s care and to develop a comprehensive treatment plan unique for each patient, in consultation with the patient’s referring physician.
Established in 2012, the Carolinas Bladder Cancer Fund is dedicated to the advancement of bladder cancer research and treatment programs at Levine Cancer Institute.
