What is the registration limit for the event?

We can only accommodate up to 1,000 registrations (runners/walkers participating in the Keep Pounding 5K).  Due nature of the race-course and Bank of America Stadium / practice field operations, we are required to cap registration of the Keep Pounding 5K to ensure a safe and smooth experience for everyone involved.

We welcome friends, family, or colleagues of participating runners/walkers to join us at the Carolina Panthers practice field (site of the finish line) as early as 8am on June 2 to cheer on your loved-ones.  

In lieu of running/walking, please consider making a donation in support of the Keep Pounding Fund:

  1. Make a contribution directly to the Keep Pounding Fund (or)
  2. Help a Participant or Team reach their fundraising goals

 

When: June 2, 2018 (the 5K will begin from the startling line at 8:00 AM)

Where: The specific route of the 2018 Keep Pounding 5K will be announced at a later date. The 5K will conclude on the Carolina Panthers practice field, as in 2017.

Parking: Morehead Medical Plaza Parking Deck - 1024 Morehead Medical Drive, Charlotte, NC 28203

Friends and family are encouraged to gather at the Practice Field to cheer on their loved ones. Please arrange for your own parking near the practice field in neighboring public parking decks or lots. Free parking is available at the Morehead Medical Plaza deck (the start line) for participants.

Can I bring my child in a stroller?

Yes.


What is the age minimum for registration, and do I have to pay for my child if they are in a stroller?

Registrants ages 10+ are asked to pay the standard registration fee. This guaurantees you a t-shirt as well. Any children under 10 may participate (including those in strollers) at no fee, but they will not be timed, nor will they receive a t-shirt.

Website and Participant Center Questions

What is the participant center?

Everyone who registers online will be asked to set up a participant center.  Your participant center will enable you to share your story about why you are participating in Keep Pounding and send emails to family/friends/co-workers asking them to support you. If you've already registered, access your participant center log in screen from the HOME PAGE - http://www.KeepPounding5K.org. (See 'Already Registered?' link on our homepage)

 

When registering, how to I know if I'm a returning user?

If this is your first time participating in Keep Pounding, you are a new user. If you have participated in the past, you are a returning user.  If you are a returning user and cannot remember your log-in information, please click the “Forgot my user name” or “Forgot my password” link on the Login page. You should receive an email asking you to reset your password. If you do not receive this email, please email kathleen.glass@carolinashealthcare.org.

 

What if I lose my user name/password?

Are transactions on this site secure and will you use my name or e-mail for anything other than this event? 

Yes – transactions are secure and your contact information will not be shared with any outside sources.  If you would not like to receive emails from Carolinas HealthCare Foundation, please select the “Opt Out” option when you are registering.

 

What do I do if I've received checks/cash donations from friends/family in support of my personal (or team) fundraising page? How do I enter these gifts?

If you have received cash or a check from a donor (or multiple checks) intended to support Keep Pounding through your Personal Fundraising Page / Team Page, please send all checks to Carolinas HealthCare Foundation, 208 East Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203. The checks must be made out to either Carolinas HealthCare Foundation or Keep Pounding. Each check (on the MEMO line) must indicate that they should be credited to your page or your team's page. If several checks are being delivered at once, you could also specify on the envlope in which they are collectively delivered that they should be credited to your personal or team fundraising page.

Once we process these offline gifts, our staff will make changes to your personal and/or team page to reflect those amounts on your fundraising page(s). NOTE: Any gifts made to an individual page, if that person is also the member of a Team, will automatically be reflected on their Team page as well. Some individuals are not participating on teams, so their donations will show up on their individual fundraising page only. If gifts are received that should be credited to a Team as a whole, they'll only show up on the team page, per instructions we receive from the donor.
