NEW FOR 2018: To protect our participants' safety and provide an optimal race experience (due to the race course), participants
with children in strollers will not be able to enter the stadium for
that brief portion of the 5K. They will instead be directed, with
signage and by volunteers, to take a slightly different route to the
Panther's practice field for the finish. If using a stroller, you will start in the same place as all other runners/walkers, but you will not enter the stadium.
Morehead Medical Plaza Parking Deck (1336 Morehead Medical Drive)
Participants are encouraged to park, free of charge, at Levine Cancer Institute.
Rose Transportation will be providing shuttle service to transport participants from the Carolina Panthers Practice Field (finish) to their vehicles at Levine Cancer Institute (start).
Friends and family are encouraged to gather at the Practice Field to cheer on their loved ones. Normal parking rates in area lots may apply.
Fees & Registration:
There is a flat, $30 registration fee for all participants.
Online (preferred method) through Wednesday, May 30th at 5:00 PM (EST).
Space permitting, register in-person at Charlotte Running Company’s Dilworth location (East Blvd) on Thursday, June 1st or Friday, June 2nd (CASH OR CHECK ONLY). *
Note: This race can only accommodate 1,000 participants and typically sells out by the beginning of May.
Before checking in on race day, all runners are required to meet a fundraising minimum of $51 commemorating Sam Mills (#51), who lost his battle with cancer. Fundraising suggestions and sample letters are available upon registration to assist participants in meeting this requirement.
The Keep Pounding Campaign, founded in 2003 by the Carolina Panthers and Carolinas HealthCare Foundation, encourages cancer survivors and their loved ones to always “Keep Pounding” in the fight against cancer.
We encourage all runners to not only meet the minimum, but exceed it as 100% of the money raised at the event benefits pediatric and adult cancer programs at Levine Children's Hospital and Levine Cancer Institute.
Race shirts and bibs can be picked up in advance at Charlotte Running Company’s Dilworth location (East Blvd) on Thursday, May 31st or Friday, June 1st.
Pick up on race day will be located outside of Levine Cancer Institute.
No pets allowed. While we all adore 4-legged, tail-wagging family members, but please leave them at home. Our insurance coverage requires this. Thank you for understanding. [Sir Purr is the only exception.]
