Date: Saturday, October 9, 2010 (rain or shine)

Location: 1025 Morehead Medical Drive - on the campus of Carolinas Medical Center. Race festivities will be held on the lawn and gravel area at the corner of Morehead Street and Kenilworth Avenue.

Parking: Parking will be provided, free of charge, in the Morehead Medical Plaza parking deck - adjacent to Morehead Medical Plaza. Please enter the parking deck from KENILWORTH AVE and use the entrance marked "Staff Entrance." Security officers will be present throughout the event.

Race Course:  Run or walk the 3.1 mile race course, which goes through the scenic Myers Park neighborhood and within sight of Levine Children's Hospital.

-Race starts on Morehead b/t Kenilworth and Harding.
-Race starts at 8:00 runners will head east on Morehead.
-Once runners cross Kings, they will be restricted to two east bound lanes of Morehead / Queens. 
-Right on Queens at Providence restricted to two southbound lanes.
-Right on Sherwood, unrestricted; Right on Queens, right hand side of road;
-Straight on Granville, unrestricted;
-Left on Queens / Morehead, restricted to 2 westbound lanes (runners run east)
-Left on into parking lot to finish.  Parking lot driveway is just east of Kenilworth Ave. just west of Live Well!Carolinas building.

Race Day Schedule:
6:45 - 7:50 a.m.

Packet Pick Up & General Information:

If you have registered a team before Wednesday, September 30 and would like to pick up race packets for your entire team, please notify Run For Your Life at least 48 hours in advance at (704) 358-0717 ext. 203 or registration@runforyourlife.com If a team is formed after September 30, team members will need to pick up their own individual packets.

If you register online, by mail or in person before Wednesday October 6, you must pick up your race number, timing chip and t-shirt at Run For Your Life, Dilworth (2422 Park Rd) beginning Thursday, October 7 through Friday, October 8 between 10AM and 7PM. 

Beginning Thursday, October 7, you may register and pick up your race number, timing chip and t-shirt at the following Run For Your Life locations:

  • Dilworth:  Wednesday - Friday 10AM - 7PM
  • Stonecrest:  Wednesday - Thursday 10AM - 7PM;  Friday until Noon
  • University:  Wednesday - Friday 10:30AM - 7:30PM

Race Day packet pick-up begins at 6:45 a.m.

T-shirt Information:
Pre-registered Runners (those registered before October 6): T-shirts guaranteed by Wednesday, October 6.

Race Week & Race Day Registration: T-shirts guaranteed while supplies last.

Awards will be presented at the awards ceremony to the male and female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each age category.  Awards will not be mailed after the event and will be kept at Run For Your Life Dilworth for two weeks.

Fundraising Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded to all fundraisers (adults and children) who raise $150 or more.  Team prizes will be awarded to teams raising $1,000 or more.

Other Important Information:
No dogs
